Minute of meeting 28/11/2007/

George.Matchett Clacks County Councillor, Tom Murray, Andrew Downie, Sam Cowie.

Welcome and Apologies

The chair welcomed everyone to the meeting apologies where put in for Inspector David Johnston M McNeill, PC Liz Brown.

Minutes of the last meeting

The minutes were handed out and read they were proposed by B Buchan and seconded by R Robinson.

Matters Arising

The minute of the meeting held on 25/09/07 was proposed by B Buchan and seconded by L Hiddleston, these were omitted at the previous meeting, the community wardens are now up to full strength again 6 wardens and 1 supervisor, Delph wood lighting, no correspondence back, Lynne to write again, George Matchett will look into this

P.C Elizabeth Brown Central Scotland Police Report

PC Brown was not in attendance. but had e-mailed her report to the chairman who read it out

Community Wardens Report

Foot patrols 20 hours, mobile patrols 23 hours, one instance of vandalism at Redlands road play park, the wardens were again thanked for the new style report.

Sandra Marshall OVHA Housing Officer

Sandra was not present to give a report.

Clackmannanshire Councillor George Matchett `s report

The chairman welcomed councillor Matchett and asked for his report, George commented on the new format of the wardens report it gave a fuller report of their activities, there has also been a second meeting of the sports and leisure working group this group has appointed a consultant specialist on what sports and leisure facilities are being provided in Clackmannanshire, this group will also be looking at the buildings we have and also what we needT.C.T association is holding meetings in December. George wished to say that the remembrance service held in St Serf’s church was well conducted and it was nice to see all the youth organisations involved in the service. Muirside residents association reporting youth antisocial behaviour, area to be visited police to do a door-to-door enquires. Tullibody thistle have two teams amalgamating with, Tullibody community football club now have six teams. Delphwood residents association need new members if it is to continue, or could it amalgamate with the Braes and Banchory residents association, central heating now to be installed the gas mains are now almost completed. A mini roundabout to be installed at Tullibody cross, zebra crossing could be in place at the turn of the year. The rail link Alloa to Stirling should be complete by spring 2008 if all goes to plan. there will be no swimming pools at the new schools, swimming facilities are provided at the leisure bowl and we could/should have better swimming facilities for the community

Treasurers Report

The treasurer was not in attendance.

Mr Tom Murray co-writer in residence to Clackmannanshire addressed the meeting, he is here in Clackmannanshire along with Stewart Hepburn to encourage all people in creative writing, he can give information and help he is here for one year working from the art shop in Tron court on a Tuesday and also in the family centre he can also be contacted at the Alloa library he is happy to run workshops in the near future, .

Sam Cowie was in attendance and expressed an interest in becoming a community councillor, Janette McGowan proposed we opt him on to the community council Sam Podmore seconded the proposal the chairman will inform the returning officer of him being opted on to the community council, there was a complaint about fly tipping at the Masonic hall car park.

As there was no other business the chairman thanked everyone for his or her attendance and wished them all a happy time at the festive season and closed the meeting.
