ANY OTHER COMPETENT BUSINESS
Tullibody regeneration group TRG which is part of the community partnership team for regeneration CPTR in Clackmannanshire will be dissolved at the end of March 2008 as will the other three regeneration groups in Clackmannanshire. This is due to the new administration in the Scottish parliament which will not be funding regeneration in the future under their fairer Scotland programme, the TRG will now along with other groups in Tullibody form a community trust and apply for funding for projects from the fairer Scotland fund to benefit the community of Tullibody.
This has been a big blow to Clackmannanshire as a result of which 55 jobs will be lost in the county and the voluntary sector decimated.
Before the winding up of the TRG they decided to use some of their monetary assets to upgrade their IT equipment which can be used by the community trust when it is formed.

CVS are hosting a meeting in St Mungo`s church hall Alloa to discuss the dispersal of the regeneration groups and the loss of community group due to the new style of funding under the fairer Scotland funding the meeting is on the 15th of February 12noon.

Excerpt from email received from David Reynolds 30/01/08
I have read the meeting minutes for Tullibody Cambus Glenochil community council 28/11/07 from their web site.
In the report from councillor George Macthet the information regarding the new community football club is incorrect and I would like to clarify the position of the community club, as the statement effects a club which has no affiliation to the community club the statement from the minutes state Tullibody Thistle now have two teams amalgamating with Tullibody community football club now have six teams.
Tullibody currently has four football clubs running independently: Tullibody thistle who have two boys teams, one at under 10s and one playing at under 14s.
Ochil boys club who have one team at under 17s Tullibody amateurs who have an adult amateur team.
The formation of Tullibody community football club has come from the amalgamation of Tullibody united and Tullibody amateurs. The community club are looking to expand their current set-ups for the new season August 08 by adding a under 9s team and under 14s team to the existing teams. Under15s which will move from under 14s and retain the under 19s and the amateures.
I hope this clarifies the situation. If you want more information about the club, please feel free to contact me.
