Minutes of Tullibody, Cambus & Glenochil Community Council Meeting
Held on 11th of February 2009
Present: R Robinson, M McNeill, J McGowan, B Buchan, L Hiddleston,
In attendance, PC Waddell, D.Johnstone, A Senior, S.lomme (Com Wardens), C Clark (Ochil view Housing), Cllr Matched

Bobby welcomed the group and thanked everyone who was in attendance.
2. Minutes of last meeting:

3. Matters Arising:
No matters arising.
4. Community Police report – attached.
Since the previous meeting on the 14th of January there have been 13 undetected crimes. The majority of these crimes relate to vandalism and theft from motor vehicles.
There have been 58 detected crimes 32 of these relate to traffic issues,
Due to the bad weather that we have been having the delph pond has been frozen over for the past two week this is now attracting the kids to play on the pond the kids do not realise the dangers of this. So the Delph Pond has been a main concern.
Kids want a MUGA in the Delph area, with lighting. Possible pilot study might provide temporary lighting at the area.
The war memorial has been an attraction to the kids again this is one of their usual hunts at the weekend. The mess in the war memorial has been left in a right state with broken bottles etc.
5. Wardens Report: Also attached.
Lynne pointed out that the wardens number should be published as people do not know how to contact the wardens the wardens pointed out that the can be contacted on the council number on 01259 450000.
Youth Justice – CS by Offenders are now available for community project. Contact Alan Senior for details.
6. Cllr Matchett’s report
Secondary Schools Update
Alloa Academy is now prepared to be handed over to be opened the school will be due to open within the next 2 weeks. The opening for the other 3 new schools has been delayed until Easter.
Lornshill and Alva schools are waiting to have the building inspections completed.
1 .GAE allowance is insufficient for Clacks. This is the allowance for the Scot Exec for socially deprived areas.
Clacks Council must lodge their balanced budget by the 12th Feb 09.The council cannot set their budget due to the Scottish government this is now to be set by early march.
2. It has been brought to cllr matchetts attention the mess behind the co-op in Tron court cllr Matchett will look into this.
3. The new roads between Glenochil and Fishcross b9140 are will in their way to being finished.
4. Councillor Matchett fells the path on the king O Muirs could benefit from having a bench for the local walker to have a wee pew.
5. Some of the complaints which have come about have included people who are homeless or have over crowing problems. This is happening because Tullibody has inadequate Number of houses available.
7. Ochil view Report – Christine Clark
1. Thank you letter received from ochilview from the community council for the donation of £250 towards the delph pond.
2. There will be estate walk about happening in Tullibody this is to look at gardens, maintenance; this project will also have tenants input.
3. Christine told us that we may see in our local press that ochilview housing may be taking over the carronvale house at the bottom of Stirling road. This is still ongoing and Christine will keep us up to date in the progress and the results.
Following rent reviews the surplus of extra money being collected the money will help excel orate to bring on the maintances of ochilview houses and to bring on outstanding work.
8. Secretary’s Correspondence
Next month we will have our picture taken so we can have formal I.D made so when we are in the public eye we will have proper I.D badges.

9. Treasurer’s Report
There is £13,503.15 in the main account (£10K is reserved for the Delph Pond footpaths – grant received from BBC Breathing Spaces)
There is £3,491.47 in the Special Project Account.
10. AOB
Letter from Neil Caruthers regarding financial help so he can go to the Special Olympics. We will discuss this at our next meeting.
Lynne has to book bowmar pipe band for gala day 2009.
Jannette sent cheque to Nita Kane of st.john ambulance service for their assistance at last year’s gala day.
C.V.S has course available on communication and they are willing to help if anyone feels they need training we will contact them.
