Minutes of Tullibody, Cambus & Glenochil Community Council Meeting
HELD ON 10TH OF JUNE 2009
Present: R Robinson, J McGowan, B Buchan, L Hiddleston, S Cowie

2. Minutes of last meeting:

3. Matters Arising:
No matters arising.
4. Community Constables Report Attached:
Since the previous meeting on the 13th of May 2009 there has been 33 undetected
Crimes in Tullibody, a decrease since the last meeting. The majority of these relate to
Vandalism and theft / theft from motor vehicles.
There have been 40 detected crimes in the same area which is also a decrease from the
Previous meeting. 23 which relate to road traffic issues, and the remainder to domestic
Incidents.
The police report was encourage by Councillor Matcheett .and asked if in the next report they could do an evaluation on the usual hotspots to see if this has increased.
The community constables clarified that in their report the knife report was in accordance to an incident in a motor car.
5. Community wardens report: Also attached.
Over the past month Tullibody area has been fairly quiet. Youth issues are split between 6 where alcohol has been an issue and 8 with no problems. In June the wardens and community police officers are carrying out the annual “stay safe” road safety campaign at all the primary schools in Clackmannanshire. The warden has also been given instructions to primary pupils in the county.
There have been three issues which have aroused since the last meeting:
1. The calmer areas which surround wood havens there has been a report of broken glass which seems to be very dangerously placed on the outside of the back garden which is situated on to the war memorial. This will be looked into.
2. For the next couple of weeks Youth Sport is working in conjunction with the sport development team to work alongside 1st – 4th years in playing and teaching them at football this will happen at the delph pond this will be from 6-00pm until 7-20pm.
3. There is the continuous problem of the mini mottos still going about. Speaking with these kids and parents there has been an outcome of no area for them to use them. Maybe there could be a club started for those who have mini mottos an outcome will be discussed.
Councillor Matchett complemented the wardens on how they present their report it is in-depth with what issue which happen in certain areas.
6. Councillor Machetes report:
Councillor Matchette asks to be brought forward on the agenda as he had another meeting to attend.
Secondary schools update
1. Alloa academy and also Alva academy have had their formal open day this was a successful time for both schools. There has been a problem at lornshill with their new furniture the company where the school was getting there furniture from has went into administration hopefully this will not put a delay on the school. The schedule for the official opening of the schools are:
Alva Thursday the 11th of June.
Alloa Thursday the 18th of June.
And Lornshill should be finished for the end of the summer holidays for the new term to
Begin.
Surgery
2. Housing needs are always brought to councillor matchetts attention as with the shortest of houses and the people require house on the up.
Issues which have arose.
There has been complaint regarding the youths play football in tron court area.
There will be a youth evaluation plan done to deter main the hotspots around Tullibody.
There have also been to accident happened at the pedestrian crossing at the cross one which
Happened turning right into Menstrie and one turning left into Main Street.
St.serfs school have had good news they have just under took her majesty inspector report
And it has come back with a very high standard. Congratulations to all the staff, the teachers
And also to the pupils for such a high achieving such a high standard.
Muirside residents have been told that the new catchment area will be St.Serfs school.
Councillor Matchett has been in contact with community service officer and they have agreed
To help with ongoing projects.
Sam Cowie ask about the pedestrian crossing down at the new builds at the bottom of Stirling
Road have been established and when will this be in use? Sam also commented on the
Parking at Patterson Place that the road is always blocked with car Councillor Mattchet took
This on board and will write to Ochil view.
7. Ochil view Report – Christine Clark
1. The new windows / doors replacement is in progress will be in completion by the end of June.
2. Ochil View has taken over six new properties from the new builds from Carron vale homes and will be renting these properties out. The six properties they have got consist of 2 bedrooms and 3 bedroom houses. There have been 2 house let already and there will be another 4 in July. The rent for these house will be approxamently around £60 early £70 per week.

Gala Day update.
They gala day is in hand and everything is coming together there are still stall applications coming in. There is still a lot of work to be done with the gala party in regards to their outfits and accessories. Applications are coming in for our talent contest there has been a wide variation of people who have applied.
