Minutes of previous meeting

PRESENT

L. Gow – L. McLean – A. Irvine – J. McDonald – T. Davidson – R. Robinson.

WELCOME and APOLOGIES

The chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting, apologies were tendered for PC Caroline Hogg.

MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING

It was pointed out that on the last minutes apologies from A. Irvine and J. McDonald were not mineted. The minutes were then proposed by L. Gow and seconded by T. Davidson.


MATERS ARRISING

(a) The tabletop sale turned out to be a disaster as few councillors turned up to help, and apart from the community councils table there was only one other table.

(b) The burst water pipe at Newmills has now been repaired.

PC CAROLINE HOGGS REPORT

In the month of July there were 31 undetected crimes 82 detected 16 motorists pulled up on various things the safer central campaign on under age drinkers was a total success, the community councillors were pleased to hear that,

CLACKMANNANSHIRE COUNCILLORS REPORT

Councillor Fearon gave the following report, the Tullis Tannery site is not up for sale at the moment but the site will be tidied up, there are no plans for a station at Cambus when the railway work is complete, there are plans to move the bus station to the co-op car park, he then spoke about the traffic calming to be carried out on the lower part of Tullibody the Stirling road part, the community councillors agreed this was needed, cctv should be completed by December, there had been complaints that there are not enough bins in Tron court, councillor Fearon will look into this matter.

TREASURERS REPORT

The treasurer was not present at the meeting.

ANY OTHER COMPETENT BUSINESS

As the local newspapers have not been putting the details of our meetings in the paper the secretary will write a letter of complaint to them, Lyn Gow was not happy about how the meetings were being conducted, she read out a description of officials duties, it was agreed that in future we would adopt these rules.

DATE OF NEXT MEETING

27TH OF September at 8pm in the civic centre.

As there was no other business the chairman thanked everyone for their attendance and closed the meeting.
